Searching for information on the Clardy, who married Ruth Madeline Gross.
Ruth Madeline GROSS, b.1904, probably Texas County, Missouri. Married to "unknown" CLARDY, most likely in Randolph, or Clay Co., AR. Ruth is a sister to my Grandfather, Julius Clayburn "John" GROSS, 1901, MO - 1967, AR.
Ruth's parents were Claibourne F. Jackson GROSS, 1863, MO - 1939, AR, & Mary E. CHAMBERS, 1868, MO - 1933(?) AR. They were near Biggers, Randolph Co., AR at the time of their deaths.
Ruth is listed as Ruth Clardy, of Waterloo, AL in Jackson Gross' 1939 obituary.
Oral family history states that Jackson GROSS, & some children traveled to Alabama to work in the timber industry for a short time, & that Ruth, & her husband stayed, and another daughter, Nora GROSS, ( m. Charles LUTRELL ) died there during the trip.
Anyone researching this line? Would appreciate any information. Am willing to share. Have lots of GROSS, & CHAMBERS info.
