I ordered the material below by mistake, on 2 Clardy men (Jesse E. and
Michael) both served same outfit from Georgia, same company, taken POW to
same camp in Illinois, etc. Seems obvious they may have been related.
However, the Jesse E. Clardy below IS NOT the one I'm researching (Jesse
E. Clardy Jr b 1820 SC), who served CSA from Florida.
Sending this so others wont make same mistake.

I can account for the one above, he was born ca 1790 Laurens Co, SC, wife
Rachel South. He died testate, will probated in Laurens Co, 1840s named wife
and kids.
My interest is in his son Jesse E. Clardy (Jr) who left Laurens Co, SC
for Florida ca late 1850s, then 1871-6 migrated again to Ellis Co, Tx where
he died 1887.
By the way, the listing of all War of 1812 vets on the net, was not
complete, my great great grandfather, Robert W. Woodruff omitted from it, yet
he received 2 bounty land grants AND a pension based on his War of 1812
service from Virginia, along with his 2 brothers (also omitted). Joyce
Can all these Clardy men who served in the War of 1812 be placed into
families?
