Barry
Barry, Yes. I still live in Michigan. Glad to hear from you. Sounds like you
are awfully busy. I will be happy to see what you have and if you would like
anything that I have I am willing to share. I have a picture of Sarah
Clapsaddle. I have been working on finding out when the Clapsaddle's
actually came to MI. Been going through census material which is a little
slow, but works. Wait to hear from you and thanks for answering. Toni

Toni--
Sorry for the delay in answering you. Just got home and head out again
tomorrow to Spokane for the weekend. Will have to dig through my material
and will share what I have. For your information your Maleta Lockwood Plain
and my mother, "Sally" Cummings Moravek would be second cousins. A very
close connection, indeed! My folks live in Wisconsin. My mother remembers
the Lockwood family very well as her father James Levi Cummings lived next
door to them in Tuscola Co., Michigan before he moved west and then to
Wisconsin in 1906. The Clapsaddle's came into Michigan (Davidson, Genesee
Co.,) from Niagra Co., New York in the 1860's. Do you still live in
Michigan?

Toni--
Sarah was born in 1854 in Niagra Co., New York to Henry D. and Julia Ann MC
GRAW/TH CLAPSADDLE (I have a picture of Henry who d. fairly young on Dec 23
1867 in Davison, Genesee Co., Michigan) Henry Clapsaddle was the son of
Nicholas & Eleanor MCCULLOM CLAPSADDLE. Nichloas' line is:GEORGE, LT.COL
AUGUSTINUS 1727-1777 "ENOS" CLAPSADDLE who died in the Am. REV. There is a
statue of him in NY. He was a friend of Gen. HERKIMER who also d. from
wounds of the same battle. Enos was the son of Andreas KLEBSADEL 1711- to
about 1766. This family came over to American in 1709.
After Henry D. Clapsaddle died, Julia remarried to a George W. Losee in 1869
in Davidson and later to a Mr. Daniel Jewell of Goodrich, Genesee Co.,
Michigan. Julia was the daughter of George or Henry McGraw/th and Chloe
KNAPP.
Please let me hear more from you, cousin!

Toni--
I am researching this line. I think I have a picture of this family
somewhere. Sarah's sister Laura Clapsaddle Cummings is my g grandmother.
How do you fit in?
Barry
I am researching Sarah E. Clapsaddle b. 1854 d. in MI. 1933. I would like to locate her parents names and siblings. She married in Tuscola County, MI. to Alvaro Lockwood in 1870. This is where they resided. Is anyone researching this line? Thanks Toni Plain
