I'm wondering if Irving William Clapp might be William Irving Clapp, my great grandfather that I've been searching for information on for years. William Irving Clapp was from Lynn at the time, then lived in Danvers and then Swampscott. Is there a Eunice Clapp as well? If you still have this I would love if you could email me the photo of "Irving William Clapp". my email is JoyceClapp(a)yahoo.com. Thank you so much in advance!

I am not related to the Clapp line however, many years ago I acquired an 1846 family bible with family tree pages for the Clapps and Budlongs. It was a gift to Charles Phineas Clapp (1818-1902 NY) and Olive Elizabeth Budlong (1824-1897 NY). That is apparently where the 2 family lines intersect. I've added all the names & dates in a public tree named Clapp-Budlong if you want to take a look. A photo is attached. The bible is a beautifully bound & illustrated book which I have treasured. While I enjoy owning it, it belongs with the family & I would love to return it if anyone is interested. I would be especially pleased if it was someone directly descended from Olive & Charles. I am posting the same message on the Budlong message board. This is a first-come, first-served offer.
