Sarah Clapp was daughter of Desire Clapp and Sarah Pond. Born 24 March 1686 in Dorchester MA. Married Samuel Bird in Dorchester 16 May 1704.
Desire was the son of Captain Roger Clapp and Joanna Ford. Roger was the Commander of the Fort in Boston.

I have good news for researchers of the Clapp family.
Your family's antique photograph album has been located!
My name is Robert D. King. I provide a service of returning lost family photos to
the family tree researchers and descendants, that will treasure those photos.
Recently, I was able to acquire an album that belonged to Mary E. Brown on Nov. 30th, 1890 in New York. This album is 6 1/2 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches long and two inches thick.
The people in the album are identified as:

Sarah CLAPP was born about 1686 in Massachusetts. She married Samuel BIRD at Dorchester, Mass., in 1704; he died in 1740 also in Dorchester. She then married John HIXSON in 1744 in Stoughton, Mass. John died in 1751 in Sharon, Mass.
Sarah died on 4 November 1769 in Sharon, Mass. Her gravestone in Chestnut Tree Cemetery, Sharon, says, "Here lies buried the body of Mrs. Sarah Hixson, the wife of Ensign John Hixson, who departed this life Nov. ye 4th 1769, in the 84 year of hir age." http://www.findagrave.com has a photo of the stone.
Dorchester vital records say "Sarah the daughter of Desire Clap was born march: 25: [16]86." Is this the Sarah CLAPP who married Samuel BIRD? Who was Sarah's father? adTHANKSvance!
