Hello all,
I'm looking for information on Isaac CLAPP and family
of Washington Co. NY. Isaac CLAPP, b. abt. 1763 - d.
20 Feb. 1848 Rupert, Bennington Co. VT; probably a son
of Samuel & Lucy (DWELLEY) CLAPP.
In the McCRAKEN family section of "The History of
Washington Co. NY: Old Families" by William H. Hill,
Isaac CLAPP is listed as son of Maj. Stephen CLAPP.
However this seems to be an error, and Maj. Stephen
may have been Isaac's brother.
Jennie (McCRAKEN) CLAPP, b. abt. 1771 - d. 20 Sept.
1838 Rupert VT; dau. of Col. Joseph McCRAKEN, b. 1737
Worcester MA - d. 1825 Salem NY, and Sarah TURNER, b.
1739 Worcester MA - d. 1818; both buried Salem,
Washington Co. NY.
Thank you,
Brad Aumick
