I have been completely unsuccessful in obtaining any solid information on
my Clapp family line (thrd great grandparents through great grandparents)
and I hope someone on the
list can help. Following is my sum knowledge of that family line:
Cephas Clapp (1788 - 1853) husband of Hannah Spooner of
Hardwick, MA (10/15/1792 - 3/3/1857)
Charles Spooner Clapp (1833 - 1910), husband of Caroline M.
Lockwood (1838 - 1927)
Marion Isabell Clapp (1866 - 6/28/1906) Her marriage
license says she was of Chicago and she died in
Waukegan, IL.
If anyone can assist me in finding information I would appreciate the help.
Blanket requests to Massachusetts and Illinois Vital Records has been
unfruitful.
Thank you ver much,
Doug Frizzell

Hi, Would someone with access to "The Clapp Memorial" be willing to do
a look up for me? I would like to know if there are children and a wife
listed for Adolphus Clapp?
Adolphus was the son of Aaron born April 5, 1748. Aaron was the son of
Aaron and Jemima Bartlett and grandson of Roger Clapp and Elizabeth
Bartlett. He was the great grandson of Preserved Clapp and Sarah
Newberry. Thought this might help pin down the Adolphus I am interested
in.
