I'm looking for information about Ellis Clanton, b. 1854, d. 1923, and his wife Julia, b. 1863, d. 1950. Both are buried in McIntosh Co., OK. They are the parents of Thomas Clanton, b. 1881, and William Clanton. Ellis and Julia probably came to Oklahoma from near Van Buren, Arkansas.
Searching for Bryon David Clanton b:1942 in Dallas, TX and his brother Dennis Lloyd Clanton b:1945 in TX.
Their father was June Avon Clanton also born in TX and buried Colony Church of Christ, Rains, TX. Their mother was Jessie Mildred Heath
If anyone can help me locate these two I certainly would appreciate it.
Margaret
Anita,
I have received the following in one of my other accounts. See the
similarity and both contain a VIRUS in the attachment. Notice BOTH files
contain incorrect ENGLISH but are different in size and originator. Get an

A VIRUS no longer needs to be sent as an "attachment" but can be sent as
a part of any E-mail. If that is true it will put a BIG dent in my genealogy
work.

Hi; Do you know anything about Jerome Clanton who lived in Pickens County
Ala and died about 1900. He was married to Tryphenia Reed Farmer I don't
think they had any kids. Was he married before her?

There are two books. The one that was introduced on KCOP-TV (Orange Co.,CA)
by Robert CLANTON last October with the ~ 15,000 Clanton records is available
from:
Robert Clanton, 23101 Lake Center Dr. #330, Lake Forest, CA.(949)770-6704 and
E-Mail: Robertclanton(a)clantonhelfman.com
The second book, "Clantons in America", is CLANTON records sorted by birth,
marriage, death & burial LOCATION by name/date/place so you can see family
migrations and groupings all over the US. It is arranged alphabetical by
State, County, City and Cemeteries. Both are reasonable priced and available
from Robert Clanton.

I'm a descendant of Edward who was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth. Edward
married married an Elizabeth and their son, Charles Clanton, married Mary
Wiles. Their daughter Ellendor (Elandor) Clanton was my ggg grandmother.
However, my grandfather (Ellendor's gg grandson), Laurence Harrison, was
married to Nola Butler, who descended from the Bond family in Indiana. I
have a lot of information on the Bond side too.

This data traces to the early 1700's in the Lunenberg Co, Va area. Frances was the daughter of Thomas Clanton and Elizabeth and the Gdaughter of Edward Clanton and Sarah Evans. She married Luke Wiles who was the son of Thomas and Eleanor Wiles and may have been the grandson of Luke Wild(e) and Margaret Stoval. I think they had at least one child - Elizabeth - who was born circa 1790 and later married William Bond and lived in Indiana. I am seeking info on any other children Frances and Luke may have had.
Hattie was the youngest daughter of William Clanton and Annnie Sea(Seay). She marrieed a Joesph Christian,I don't have a date, they lived in Albertville,Alabama. This is in Marshall County. They had at least one son Lewis Christian,he to lived in Albertville,Al. until his death in 1980s,his sister Effie also lived in Albertville until her death. My mother who is the youngest daughter of Verdell Clanton Burks, told me that she had an Uncle Burl, she said he lived in the area of Alabama City,in Etowah County. She showed me the house he lived in until his death. She could not recall the date of his death, but she said she was around 10 .Mom was born in 1926,so this Burl died abt 1936-1940.
Is your ggrandfather, Gilliam Clanton of Pickens Co, the son of Davis and
Elizabeth Clanton? And one of nine children, namely Sarah Jane, John Marion,
Amelia, W. Richard, Hefesy, Sterling David, Mary, Jesse "Jake", Gilliam
Jeherome?
John Marion Clanton is my gggrandfather. I'd love to trade information.
Susan Fraser
Sorry, my grandmother was Catherine "Kitty" Lula Clanton b. 1875 in Pickens Co., daughter of Gilliam Clanton and Mary Sherrill. She married John K. Wallis probably early 1892. He changed spelling to Wallace shortly thereafter.
Well if I had only read little further first, would have saw your Ada is not the same Ada I was referring to. Tom is good man, and helps us all. Your Ada Elmira's father was brother to my great grandfather William J. Clanton.
Was your Grandmother Ada Caroline "Carrie" Clanton? Born July 23, 1868???? I have Clanton kin from Coffeeville, Al (Clarke County Area) Have good bit of data but always looking for the connections too. I have an Ada that is sibling to my Grandfather.
Hope you can help me! I saw your post and wondering, if you can straighten me out. I have an Annie Sea b,abt 1858 married to William Clanton, b, abt 1865, but some of the children are the same: Burl, b. 1887, John, Hattie V.b 1891, married Joseph William Christian. Are this really the same family?
