Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Carol,
I'll have to wait until after 20 April to check the database. All my data is on my computer at home in Alabama, and I am in Dusseldorf, Germany visiting my oldest son and his family. Will return home on 20 April, but will check then.

Hi Carol,
I found this information in The Heritage of Pickens county, Alabama, Heritage
Publishing Consultants, Inc., 1999, page129(b).
"Jerome Clanton, AL 42nd Inf. Co. D, 1st Lt. died in 1900 at Aliceville and
was buried in the Farmer Family Cemetery. He first married January 10, 1855
to Frances A. Jones, and (2nd) to Tryphena Reid Farmer, who died in 1923 in
Aliceville at the age of 93 years. Jerome Clanton was Senator from Pickens
County 1878-81 and 1886-89."
I hope this gives you the lead you need.

Speaking of family reunions...I know the Arizona group get together for
reunions. How about a "mailing list" reunion somewhere in the East or South?
(for the folks that cannot afford long road trips for what ever reason...)
Are there any coordinators among us who would like to start a planning
committee? Or if you are already planning a Clanton reunion for the spring
or summer, how would you like a few extra folk to attend?
PLEASE respond to CLANTON-L(a)rootsweb.com if this sounds interesting.

Hi Malinda,
Got your message in Germany. Sure will get in touch with you when I return. Would love to check with someone there on the Clantons around Florence. I have quite a bit on Clantons in that area. I went to a Clanton reunion in New Prospect, TN about four years ago. New Prospect is not too far from Florence.
Will get in touch with you when I return.

Billy;
Hope you are having fun in Germany, it is a beautiful place. We went
over there when our oldest son lived there several years ago. He lived close
to Stade and went to Church in Bremerhaven. Excuse my spelling of these
German names.
Are you going to the Clanton Reunion this year? I hope Dorothy and
Wilson still have it, I didn't get to go last year.
Have a good and safe trip. Would like to see you again, maybe we will
get to Hunstville this Summer or Fall. Our youngest son, Jeff, who was with
us at the reunion in Humboldt several years ago, is getting married in July.
HOw is your Daughter?
TTYL, Johnine
Yes Bob, I am from the Huntsville Area - Florence. Let me know when
you return from Germany. I have very little on my Clantons, but will
share what I have.
Malinda
