Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I'm new to these lists and wanted to say hello.
I'm a descendent of Maude B.B. CLINE (b. May 12, 1874 in Aurora, Lawrence,
MO) and Albert Lee WILFLEY (b. Oct. 19, 1863 in Aurora, Lawrence, Missouri).
Maude and Albert were my maternal g-grandparents.
Maude was the daughter of John Franklin CLINE (b. Jan. 29, 1850 - d. Dec.
16, 1933 in Aurora, Lawrence, MO) and Melvina STARK (b. Abt 1853), also of
Aurora.
Albert Lee was the son of James WILFLEY (b. Oct. 11, 1805 in Hawkins County,
Tennessee) and Martha Jane BRIDWELL (b. Abt. 1838 in Virginia), who was, I
believe, his second wife.
(I believe his first wife was Elizabeth Jane KELSO (b. July 5, 1810 in
Montgomery County Kentucky), who's sister, Mariah, was mother of the
infamous CLANTON gang of Tombstone, AZ.)
Melvina (or Malona?) was the daughter of Festus STARK (b. Feb 16, 1816 in
Allen County, Kentucky) and Lucinda Elizabeth JAMESON (b. Abt. 1817 in Allen
County, Kentucky).
Albert's son, Darold Eugene WILFLEY (b. 1919 Aurora, MO - d. 2000
Springfield, MO) married Elda Adel NEWTON (b. May 9, 1921 - d. Oct. 1975),
daughter of Burl NEWTON (b. March 1, 1903 - d. Oct. 13, 1951) and Nellie
Emmalina FORRESTER of Marionville, Lawrence, MO (b.Oct. 22, 1904-d. Jan. 29,
1990)
Burl was the son of Albert NEWTON (d. Abt. 1949 in Marionville, MO) and
Blanche Gertrude GRAHAM (all unknown).
Nellie was the daughter of John FORRESTER (d. Abt. 1950) and Rachel
UNKNOWN/possibly LEMASTER (d. Abt. 1963 in Marionville, Lawrence MO).
I'm new to most of these lists, except STARK-L, and have no original
documentation for any of this information -- most of it's from family. I
hope some of this sounds familiar to some of you. I'd love to hear from
anyone who's familiar with the branches of the families mentioned
(especially relatives!!!), or anyone who might have supporting documents.
Also, if sending this e-mail out to everyone and their brother violates some
kind of -L etiquette, I apologize in advance.
