Sherri and all,
I noticed that Timothy's Birthplace was Connecticut. He was
23 in the 1920 census, so would have been born abt. 1897. This is
new, I have no Clanins in Connecticut at any time. If he was born
there, then his parents must have been in CT. Either they died or
moved before 1920.
Sherri, I'm not subscribed to the Census Data. I can't view
the images. No Clanins show up in their census records until
back to 1850. There is a McClanin, John in New York Ward 15,
New York County, New York. Would be interested in the 1910
and 1900 CT. census.

As for Plato Clannin, I have found his record before and can
not find anything else. The DAR of Okla. has purchased 1096
Rolls of microfilm of the 'Compiled Service Records of
Revolutionary War Soldiers', with a 56 roll index. Don't
know when they will have all rolls and everything in place,
but will be nice. Jim
Hi Jim and everyone,
Hope everyone's Holiday season is behind them and you are living out your new years resolutions.
After a scary time with my grandson being sick with viral meningitis we are back to normal..(well , for me anyhow)
I have been searching and compiling a database of all variations of the Clanin name, and in my search for Benjamin Clannin ca 1740-1783 ancestors, I have come across a lot of CLANINS and their various spellings. Here's a couple i found and I would like to know if anyone has further info on them.
any comments are welcome
