Hi everyone
Hey this is great!
Anyone that wants to know more about Cliff Clanin, I have the info. This is
my grandfather! I have copies of the newspaper article jim is refering to,
if anyone wants a copy mailed to them, send me your address and I'll send
you one.
He has won the Jefferson Award of Excellence, the Golden Ruler award,
numerous other awards for his efforts at volunteer work at Dana Elementary
School in Franklinton.
I am in the process of documenting all of the awards he has at his house
now.( he has given away some of them and I'm trying to track them down)
If you are interested, my grandpa's lawyer and a local judge have started a
"Cliff Clanin Can Foundation" This non-profit organization is on the
grassroots level, the goal is to place boxes around Columbus businesses to
collect aluminum cans, the proceeds of which are to continue to provide
school supplies for the kids of Franklinton elementary schools. This will
continue the wonderful efforts that grandpa has made to bring supplies, hot
lunches, and a little extra positive attention to the inner city kids.
