Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Cousins,
I also got this from another list as you can see. I had
seen it before but lost it. Works real easy.

Hello to everyone,
My name is Susan K. Clanin-Marion ("Kathy"). I am Jim Clanin's (listdad)
daughter. I live in Oklahoma City, OK. I am married and have 3 married
daughters and 4 grandchildren.
I am descended from Benjamin, Samuel Harris, Isaac Beckley, James
Monroe, James Olin Clanin, and James A. Clanin.
If any of you plan to come through Oklahoma City, please email me before
you come. I would love to meet some of my Clanin family members.
Take care, Kathy
Cousins,
Found this info at the Family Tree Maker website.
I was looking for info on Thompson son of Samuel
Harris Clanin.

This record did not give a date for the Marriage Application.
She was born in 1880 and these records are for 1837-1893.
If the application was made in 1893 she would have been only
13 years old. First wife Elizabeth Rutherford did not die
until 1903. The application had to be after 1903.

Clanin Cousins,
Here are the Family Tree Maker CDs that I have. Just
because someone doesn't appear on these CDs doesn't
mean they weren't married or in the census. Only means
they are not on the CDs. The Roll of Honor is for Civil War
Union Soldiers who died during the War, but does not
necessarly contain every person.

Hello all Cousins,
Guess it is time for me to introduce myself. Most everyone knows
me I'm sure, but for those who don't, I was born in Oklahoma, retired
from the Air Force in 1972. Lived in Denver, South Texas and now in
Wichita Falls, TX. I am descended from Benjamin, Samuel Harris,
Isaac Beckley, James Monroe and James Olin Clanin.
I have several of Family Tree Maker CDs. I will make a list and
send it out and will do lookups for you. I have Family Tree Maker Ver 7
and can send GED.COM or FTM files.
I should mention, that attachments cannot be sent over the
CLANIN-L Mail List. They will have to be sent to the individual at their
email address.
Welcome to everyone,
Jim, ListDad
Hello All,
This is my first time to respond to a list. Being you are all relatives, I
feel it is okay if I make mistakes.
I am descended from Issac Clanin on my paternal side. I am originally from
Kansas, was born in Jewell Co., KS and grew up in Wichita, KS. I now live in
Dallas area with my husband. My two children and four grandchildren also
live in the Dallas area.
If I can be of any help to anyone, please email me. I would love to hear
from you.
Cousin Linda
My husband, Jamer Merrit Clanin, is our Clanin connection. Jim's great
grandfather was Edward W. Clanin. Edward was the son of Samuel Clanin and
Susanna Duffield, so a brother to Claire's great grandmother, Sarah Ann
Clanin.
Most of our Clanin information has come cousin Doug Clanin who works for
the Indiana Historical Soceity, and from Claire through Doug. Both Jim and
I were born in Connersville, Indiana.
I admit I have not been a consistant researcher in recent years. I was
trying for a while to find a connection between Susanna Duffield and my
great grandfather Samuel Duffield Bowman which I have been unable to find
anything about.

Hello Clanin researchers:
My name is Claire Weeber, and I live in Grand Haven, Michigan.
My Clanin connection is my great grandmother, Sarah Ann Clanin, who was
born 26 Oct. 1852, in Mier, IN. She was the daughter of Samuel Clanin
and Susanna Duffield. She married James R. Mayne in 1871. My Clanin
line descends from Benjamin Clanin, born 1741. I think he was born in
Ireland, but I would love to know exactly where.
I would be happy to hear from other Clanin researchers.
Claire
Hello everyone. My name is Shawn Trussell. I live in Kansas City with my
wife and two daughters. My great-great grandmother on my mothers side was
Eva Clanin. I want to thank Jim for starting this list server. He has
been most helpful in helping me find information on the Parrish family(Eva
Clanin's husbands family). If anyone ever needs help finding some
information in the Kansas City area on the Clanins or any other name let me
know. I would be glad to help.
Shawn Trussell
Hi all,
I am Amy Vogt Cartmell.....my Clanin connection is on my mother's father's side,my great grandmother Sue Odessa Clanin. I never met her, and to be honest, most of the family knew nothing about the Clanin side till we found Cousin Jim via this wonderful internet invention.
Anyway, I am 29 years old, happily married to Pete,an Army helicopter pilot ( currently serving month #5 in Bosnia ) with 3 great children. Eleanor is 7 ,Mary is 5 ,and Matthew is 1. I enjoy reading when I find the time and I love the TV show er! We have a German Shepherd named Stormy and are going to Disney World when Pete returns.
Feel free to write me anytime, I promise to answer within days!
God Bless, Amy
Hello All,
This is sort of a test. Just want to make sure everyone who has
subscribed
will receive messages and can send messages to the mail list. Would
everyone
please answer this email when you can. If you would, just introduce
yourself
to everyone else. We, at present, have 9 subscribers.
Jim
Welcome Cousins,
Finally got this going. Now it will take time for everyone to
subscribe that wants to. It probably will be slow at first. Once
all are subscribed, I would like for everyone to introduce
themselves and list their Clanin connection. I have sent
invitations to about 16 people asking them if they want to
subscribe. Feel free to say hello at any time.
Jim
