Hi Marina
We're first cousins, the last time we met was in the
70's, you were over with your son and stayed at Nancy's (my mom). Hope all is well with you, where are you living these days? When we met you were living in Pakistan, thought I heard recently you were living in South Africa. Let me know when you are over and hopefully we'll get to meet up.
Congrats to Pat on her 90th.
Brian

Hi there,
We are also related. My grandmother was Elizabeth Clancy, Married Vincent Hehir and lived at Glencannon, Kildysart until they passed over. Her daughter, my mother, was Agnes Hehir, who married an Englishman.
I'm visiting Ireland this year to see my family. I'd love to hear from you.

We are definitely related. My grandmother was Lizzie Clancy, married to Vincent Hehir and they lived at the farm known as Glencanan (Glencannone) which was previously in the Clancy family, and situated just outside of Kildysert Village, Co. Clare. Vincent and Elizabeth have now passed over. They had six children. Agnes (my mother) Moira (her twin - both still living) Joan (passed over) James, Sheila (passed over) and Ann (Nancy). James Hehir (Bobby) who is now in his 90's is my uncle, inherited the farm and had several children with his wife Margaret aka Peggy) who are my first cousins. You and I are related through our grandmothers, which makes us something like 2nd cousins. I will be visiting my relatives later this year, if there is any other information you'd like to have, please let me know. My email is MarinaT2(a)yahoo.com.

Siobhan,
I do not know if there were any siblings. Though I remember somebody talking about an Uncle Dan. Not sure who that was. Thomas's parents were Peter Clancy and Elizabeth Conley.
BTW There is a lady , Diana Gray, who I have never actually met that has done much more of the work in North Attlebor0 than I ever thought of doing. She provided the attached picture taken sometime in the early 1920's We feel the older women is Mary McGeever Clancy
I was in Kinlough for a couple of hours in Dec 2008. My daughter went to grad school in Ireland and I was visiting.

THere is one family of Mc Geevers still living in Edenvelle Kinlough these mc Geevers are the same Mc Geevers as my great grandmother. My mother says she remembers another Mc Geever family living in the area in the 1950s/1960s she thinks they had no children and the family died out. I m not sure if they were related to the other mcgeever family.

Siobhan,
Most of my relatives ended up in North Attleboro Ma in the 1880's. My Great Grandmother was a Mary Mc Geever. She was born about 1841. Are there Mc Geevers still living in the Kinlough area?
The Clancy's mentioned in the thread lived in Fall River MA. I do not think I am related to them. However there are some Clancy's in Newport RI who I suspect are the same family.
Jim
