My grandfather is John Joseph Clancy. I am on yahoo. Add 493 to my id. I was an eagle coordinator for boy scouts from troop 493. I can tell you more about the Clancys here. My dad was John Edward Clancy. He had 2 older sisters, Dorothy and Marguarite, and a younger brother, Eugene. They have all passed. They are all South Side Irish, except aunt Dorothy's 2 daughters that live somewhere in California. Thanks

Hello Catone
Couldn't get your e-mail address, think I need to have a paid subscription. I'm on gmail with the same username as this site. Can answer all your questions about the Hehirs. Might take a few days to get exact dates. Would be great to get your Clancy side of the tree.
Thanks
Brian

Hello! That would make us 2nd cousins, once removed! My Grandmother Anna Clancy Emmerick and your Great Grandmother Johanna Clancy Clancy were sisters.
I've made quite a bit of progress since that post that you came across. I know now that the Eliza listed in the census was really Elizabeth and do know that she married Vincent Hehir. I have 6 children listed for them but no birthdates or spouses names. Would you mind emailing me privately? You can get my email by clicking on the username "catone". I would love to add to my information on the Hehirs, if you don't mind my asking a few questions.

Eliza who you mention was my grandmother Elizabeth. She stayed on in Glencanane after marrying Vincent Hehir. Patrick Hehir also lived in Glencanane and ran a shop locally, it get's a mention on the Lack school website. Any other questions let me know.

If your information concerns a Clancy family from the area around Lislary, parish of Ahamplish, I would be interested. Thank you for thinking of sharing. I also have a few unrelated Clancy records - who are you searching for, and what time period?

This Photo you posted is a Photo of my Husband's Father and two of his Uncles. His Father Thomas H.Clancy is on the left, his Uncle James Clancy is dressed as the Ref,and his Uncle John Clancy is the boxer to the right. They were three of 13 children. My Husband states they helped support the family, sometimes getting paid in gold watches. My husband's father was a professional fighter as an adult. The Clancy Twins were not twins they were a year apart in age. As Children the Family moved to Manchester NH.

Am searching for my grandma's parents. My grandma (Elaine Patricia Girdler - nee Belford) was adopted by Stanley Belford and Leila Belford on 18 December 1929. The adoptive mother's name was Ida May Clancy, but there is no record of the adoptive father's name. Please help.
