Jamie,
I only learned of this side of my family two weeks ago. My grandmother was Pauline she passed away in 1988. She was married to a James Joseph Clancy and they did have two daughters Gloria (deceased) and Patricia who is my mother. My mother never was married and had me out of wedlock and that is why I still carry my mother's maiden name. Have you ever been able to document your father's date of death because I investigated and found James Joseph Clancy born 1911 died 1998. I have a social security number would love to compare to what you have. Yes you would be my aunt but I think your a few years younger that I am I was born in 1963. My mother is now 78 and finally decided to tell me the truth about my father and grandmother's first marriage. I grew up believing that Pauline's second husband Alexander was my grandfather. I would love to speak to you, it seems we both have similar interests in discovering the missing side of our family (Clancy). I can be found on face!
book and my email is caseman63(a)aol.com. Hope to hear from you soon.
Kenny

Pat,
My dad James Joseph Clancy was born in 1913. He had a sister Francis, a brother Edward. Jimmy passed away in 1968, he had married a woman named Paulina? or Paula. They had two kids, Gloria and Patricia.
he married my mother Elizabeth, in 1940 or 1941, he went off to war in WWII, when he came back, he was a truck driver. They had three kids late in life, Robert, Sue Ellen and Jamie.
Let me know if this sounds familiar. I really don;t know much about Francis, never meet any of the Clancy's from dad's side.

Kenneth,
My dad James Joseph Clancy, was married to a Pauline? Paula?before he married my mother. Two children, Patricia and Gloria were born from that marriage. My dad was born in 1913
he was in WWII, he married my mother Elizabeth (Betty) before he went to war. They had three children, Jamie, Sue and Robert.
I only found out after my mother passed, that my dad was married before and that we have two half sisters. it came a s a shock. I don't mean to be personal but how is it that your last name is Clancy? If my dad was your grandad? Then that would make you my nephew. My parents had children late in life, we were all born in the 60's. Me being the last of the mochicans, youngest, I was born in 1968, alomost 20 yrs. after they married. My dad died, 2 months before I was born, he died in Sept. of 1968, never got to meet him. If any of this info sounds fimiliar, please repond back. I have been wondering about the half sisters since we found out. I'm very sorry to hear of Patricia's passing. If this is the correct family, did Pat and Gloria know about us? Would like to exchange e-mails, if you would like to.
Jamie Clancy Regenthal

Mary Regina worked as a school teacher in P.S. 7. Her daughter Maureen Clancy became a nurse at St. Catherine's in Brooklyn. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
