Hello--
I show John in my family tree as a Great Grand Uncle. He and my GGGrandfather were brothers. Many of James and Mary's children emigrated to the US--some to Wisconsin, some to Pennsylvania, some to New York. Not certain where you John may have gone, but I would try census' in those states.
Good luck!
Karen Atherton

Hello all--
I have been trying to link the following people to a specific place in Sligo (or Leitrim?) for a long while now, so I thought I'd post to see anyone has seen these names in their research and could help shed some light. I am looking specifically for birth place, birth year, parents' names, and marriage date and place would be nice.
CLANCY, JAMES b.1783-1789/Sligo; d.1862/Quebec. Left Sligo for Quebec in 1823-27.
MARRIED to
CUNNINGHAM, MARY b. 1790-1800/Ireland (most likely Sligo or Leitrim); d.1880/Lancaster PA.
James and Mary were married before departing Ireland, as many of their children were born in Ireland.
James most likely had brothers/sisters he left behind.
I know nothing of Mary Cunningham at all other than the above.
Any clues on where to look would be much appreciated! Any information would be a blessing!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and consider this request.
Slan agus Beannachtai,
Karen
