Just spotted your message of 27 Mar 2001. Terence Clancy, 1845-1930 who married Mary Donohue in 1891, is on my family tree. As this family has died out in Dromahair, I would love to hear what became of them.

James Clancy was my greatgrandfather.
He was born in 1807 and married Johanna ?\
Their children were Thomas, William, James C. and James G.
I am the grandson of Thomas. I have a great deal of information

James. G.

Patricia, I was very interested in your posting about the Clancy family from Leitrim. My family has many similar names(not unusual I know) except for "Lackey". My Lackey was actually Alexander. I am not totally clear on who's who but I do know they were from Leitrim: James Clancy married Catherine Murphy. They had 8 children born abt 1855-1875. Annie, James, John, Mary , Patrick, William, Thomas, Margaret. Most of the children immigrated to Brooklyn, NY. Margaret "Maggie" came as a young teen with Aunt Anne and Lackey Clancy (reported to be her uncle) in 1880.
Since my family seems to be next generation, do you see how they may connect???

My gggrandfather, Patrick, emigrated with his parents and siblings from County Sligo to Bruce County, Ontario, Canada, about the 1850's. Do you have any other names and/or know where your grandfather emigrated to? I have further info if this is a connection.
