Hi Tracy, Do you have any dates or other surnames. I have CLANCYs from Leitrim co.,Ireland that came to Boston, Ma. about 1855/56. Here's some of their childrens names: Patrick,Thomas,Lacky,John,Peter,Abbie,Anne,Mary,Cecelia & Catharine. This isn't much help. You might check 1930 census to see if there are someother Clancy's in the area. Also city directories.Keep up the Hunt Pat

I've just returned from a research trip to Family History Library in Salt Lake City. And I think I have found one of my irish family CLANCY. What I'm looking for is any info. on what catholic church they may have attended & any ideas as to what else I might search. This is what I have found: in the parish of Cloonclare, diocese of Kilmore, townland Barr of Farrow, on Griffith's records:CLANCY, Loughlin, James & James jun., & Jane. On Tithe records: Applotment books, abt. 1824-1840: 1834 CLANCY, Charles sen. & jun., Lacky, James, John, Thomas,& Daniel. My CLANCY family always claimed to be from Manorhamilton. But I think it's easier to tell people a name of a larger & more familiar place then a small village that nobody has heard of. Here are the names of my CLANCY family:father John Clancy b.abt 1800, mother Cecelia b.abt.1800,COLLINS/CULLEN (only record of maiden name is death certificate COLLINS, I think it might be CULLEN, she named one of her sons Thomas CULLEN Clancy!
) Cecelia's father's name was Thomas. Children of John & Cecelia: Patrick, Lacky, Thomas(my ggrandfather), Anne, Rose, Cecelia,Abbie Teresa, Mary, Catharine & Peter b.abt. 1848, all born in Ireland. My family came to America sometime about 1854/55,I haven't found them on a passenger list as a family yet. I've found individuals of the same names??? Any in put about the place & anything else. Looking for any info. & it will be greatly appreciated. Pat
