Who were Ellen's parents??? Were they John and Johannah?I have hit a brick wall. I am trying to find John O'Neill born1860, Edmund O'Neill born 1862, Charles O'Neill born 1866, Daniel Patrick O'Neill born 1874 and Bryan O'Neill born 1876. They were all born around Durham Lead and their parents were John O'NEill and Mary Hayes. They were alive in 1913 as they were on their mothers death certificate.. I can't find them in the Pioneer Index etc. I don't now if they left the state, married or whatever. Any help would be gratefully received

Correction...About 85% of the Irish who came to Newfoundland between 1790 and 1850 came from within about a 60 mile radius of port of Waterford,Ireland...not go miles...typo. Ward

Hi...received an automated reply from Ian. Considering the place names mentioned,it might interest you that I used to work within walking distance of both his offices and now live near Brisbane, though of course born in Nfld. Thanks...Ward

Okay, thanks. Just hoping Johannah was one of yours. However, since 85% or more of the Irish who moved to Nfld. came from within about go miles radius of the port of Waterford, our Clancys probably are related. Thanks. Ward

I am seeking information on family of Johannah Clancy ,during married life living in Point Verde,Placentia, Newfoundland. She died in 1834,and her husband Robert in 1829. Does anyone know where she came from and if she and Robert had children? I do not know at what age they died.
Robert had brother John Green married to widow of John Corbin. Thanks...Ward.

In Point Verde / Placentia area of Newfoundland,I am seeking information on a Johannah Clancy who married Robert Greene in either 1790's or early 1800's,the unknown date because I don't know if it was Robert Sr. or Jr. Robert died in 1829 and Johannah in 1834, but again don't know if they both died young or in old age. Robert had brother John, married to widow Corbin. Thanks...Ward.
