Mary Katherine Clancy, (called Kate), from County Clare, Ireland, immigrated to Boston. I was told that she was a teacher. She met and married Peter MARTIN Flaherty,( called Martin), in St. Paul, Minn.,and then they moved to Superior, Wi. I was told that Peter Martin was also from County Clare, but they didn't meet until they were in St. Paul. I think they had 13 children. These are the names of the children that survived past childbirth. Joseph, moved from Superior, Wi.and died in Tacoma Wash.; was married to a woman named Agnes, they had a daughter, named Dorothy. Peter, Jr., called Pete. Edward, also moved to Tacoma, Wash. Patric,(died in a coal pile accident in Superior, Wi.). Michael, Margret,(called her Muggy), and Katherine, (Kate). Mike Flaherty married Genevieve Ann Seldon, they had 10 children. Thomas b. about 1927 and was killed in Korea in 1951,, Marjorie Ann( my mom) b. 1929, Patricia, Raymond,Kathleen, (called her Babe), Teresa, Michael, (Mickey), !
Edward (Eddy), William (Bill), and Dennis. Any info about my Great-Grandmother and her family - parents' names, siblings, uncles, aunts, anything- would be helpful. Believe it or not I met a man at my church, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, in Dallas, Ga.,and his name is MIKE CLANCY, and his sisters' name is MARY KATHERINE, they grew up in Ohio. Mary Katherine has been to County Clare, Ireland. We're thinking we're related! Mary says, "Lots of Clancy's in County Clare"!

Where in Massachusetts did your Clancy's settle? Mine all settled in North Attleboro. They supposedly came from Kinlough in Lietrim.

Hi John, I looked thru some of my records, didn't find them in the baptism/marriage for 1864,in the town of Manorhamilton.I forgot to ask you if you know what parish & town your Clancys were in. Mine were suppose to be from Manorhamilton, but I have yet to find them there.Getting back to your family I've got James & Charles Clancy on deeds & tithe records. If you want copies I'd be glad to send them to you.I don't think they would scan very good.If you email me your address privately I'll send you copies. The years are 1833-1839 Tithe, deeds 1842/43/47&1849. I've thought about hiring the Leitrim Genealogy Center to researh but haven't acted on it yet.I don't remember if I mentioned that my Clancy family came into Massachusetts,my greatgrandfather came to San Francisco with one of his sister in 1855/56. Keep up the hunter Pat

Hi Pat
It is quite possible that we are related. Unfortunately, at this point I don't have anything more on my greatgrandfather Charles regarding siblings. It is possible that James was a brother your John Clancy. I plan on contacting Leitrim genealogy center later this year after i get more solid information and have them do a search for me. Hopefully, they will obtain some additional information. I was able to find, on the irish genealogy site, that Leitrim has a marriage record for my greatgrand parents. Have you tried this site? It's irishgenealogy.ie. Well, thanks for responding and if I come up with a connection, I'll let you know. John
