She was born in Moorseburg, Hawkins Co., Tennessee and married in 1899 to Clarence Henry King. She died on April 14, 1910.
Would like to know her parents and a little bit about her.

Can anyone help. Thanks , Joan Bessette

Judge William Clancy of Butte, MT was in fact from Knox Co., MO. He was the brother of my great-great grandmother, Ellen Clancy Magorien. William & Ellen's parents were David Clancy (from County Cork, Ireland) and Ellen Hennessy Clancy (from County Kilkenny, Ireland). Both emigrated to the US in approx. 1824. David & Ellen were married in Perry County, OH in 1838. Judge Clancy was definitely a "colorful" character. He heard some of the most important mining cases in US history, but was known for both sleeping and using a spittoon at the bench, and wasn't bashful about bribes! One of the biggest cases he presided over related to the Amalgamted/Anaconda Copper Mine in Butte.
