My g-g-grandmother was Amelia Clancy, born apparently in Tasmania circa 1830 to Thomas Clancy and Elizabeth Field. I have good reason to believe that Thomas was a convict but I have not yet proven it. I also believe, but do not know, that Thomas was from County Cork, as was his wife.
Anyone with possible leads on this, please let me know.
P.S... Amelia married an Englishman, Edwin Brown, in Benalla Victoria - the second marriage for both. Her first marriage was to a Thomas Bond. My line is from the second marriage.
