my name is francis glancy , my families original name is clancy. they originate from ireland but moved to scotland a couple of centuries ago the reason why the letter c is changed to a g is because when the immigrants entered scotland there was a spelling mistake made by the authorities at the time thus you have glancy/clancy. i dont
know if there is any relation between frances clancy and
the glancy family from Edinburgh, Scotland. If not i would suggest you broaden your search to glancy you never know what you may come up with. good luck with your search
and if there is anything i can do dont hesitate to E-mail me
at my adddress.
yours Mr Francis Glancy.

Hi I wanted to ask you a question do you know anything about the Cave Hill cemetery in Louisville. I am told that my John Clancy is buried here in the 1850s. Do you know if they kept records back that far?
