Thanks for replying to my inquiry. My original info on Julia Clancy was incorrect. She was born in Clinton, Iowa. The rest of the info is correct to my knowledge. The O'Hara branch of the family came from Thief River Falls, MN and Rochester, MN. Then they relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, probably mid 1800's.
Where in Minnesota were you searching. My Clancy's settled in and around Brown County in 1857. Don't have a O'Hara as of yet. before moving to MN. they were in Ontario after leaving Ireland.
I am taking a trip to Ontario, researching the Westport area, looking for connections to James Clancy b. October 5, 1827. He M. Ann Cutting c. 1850. They had at least 6 children; John Martin, my ggrandfather; Mary Anne; William B.; James H.; Peter and Albert. The first 3 born in Ontario the rest in Minnestoa. They got to MN. in 1857. Looking for origin in Ireland.
My Clancys' were in Ontario, until 1857, in and near the town of Westport. I am going there on the 10th of July and will see if I can find anything on your clancy or if there is a connection. Margaret Clancy
