Thank you for the reply. I'm not sure if they are related. I am waiting on a death certificate for Mary Clancy. I know she married my great grandfather and her married name was Mary O'Pray. She was buried in St. Raymonds Cemetary. Once I get her parents name hopefully I can trace some of her relatives. I know she made a trip back to Ireland with two of her childern and they visited Cavan. This is all I know right now. Hopefully, when I recieve the birth certificate I'll know more. Thanks.
Maureen O'Pray

Michael and John Clancy immigrated to the US from County Clare in 1840 with their parents Michael and Ellen Halloren Clancy. Michael was baptized 9/11/1831 in County Clare and his sponsors were Patrick and Ann Halloran. John was baptized 7/19/1833 and his sponsors were John Callinan and Mary Halloran. The Clancy's settled in Bradford County PA in 1840. There is no record of the sons Michael and John after the 1850 census. Any information on their descendants would be greatly appreciated.

The only address I have at present is the one my Grandmother Eileen Clancy Smith lived at when my Grandfather passed away in 1946. At that time she lived at 522 East 43rd Street in Brooklyn. Her mother was Philomenia Mullen Clancy and her father was Henry Clancy. Her Uncle (Henry's Brother) was John Joseph Clancy, and her Grandfather (John and Henry's father) was Joseph John Clancy. Let me know if any of this matches with an of you information. You can also write to me at morlock68(a)yahoo.com

Terry, The Clancy's that I am researching are believed to have immigrated from County Leitram, Ireland and settled in Brooklyn near 1885. In 1930, my Ggrandmother Margaret Clancy Campbell lived at 339 Lincoln Place. In 1920 her brother Thomas Clancy lived at 619 Sterling Place. Another brother, John P. Clancy lived at 2044 East 29th St.and attended the Roman Catholic church of Good Shepherd. Mary(Mame) Clancy Sullivan lived on St. Andrew's Place (23rd ward) in the year 1900. That is all I know about their residences. Let me know if any of this matches your Clancy information. Thanks, Nancy

Thanks Ken, I'll keep watching the posts to see if anything looks like it might fit. The cemetery our CLANCY family used was Holy Cross. Because the name is not an uncommon one, when dealing with Brooklyn or Manhattan, the neighborhood they lived in is one of the best clues...
Can you tell me where in Brooklyn these people lived?
Terry

I've been following this Brooklyn Clancy thread with much interest. My Grandmother was Eillen Clancy. She was from Brooklyn and is also buried at Holy Cross Cemetary with my grandfather, William Smith. She had 2 sisters, Anne and Mary, both of who are deceased now. In researching the Clancy side of my family I found a long lost cousin living ijn Maryland now who had much of the information I was looking for. Her grandfather was my grandmothers favorite cousin! It seems she's traced our family back pretty far. I'm wondering if somehow we are related also. If you are interested, write to me at morlock68(a)yahoo.com and I will put you in touch with her. Maybe some of her information will match with yours.
Looking for any info on the Clancy livery in Fall River, Mass in the late 1800's. Somehow I am related to them. I understand they did funerals from their livery. I have a photo of a horse drawn funeral in front of their sign. possible related names are Rabideau, LaMere, Gienty.
