Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Harriet Ann Boyd was born in Boston, Mass 11 Oct 1871, her mother was Harriet
Wheeler Boyd - She had brothers James, Alex, Harry and Allen. Her mother died at her birth. Her father was Alexander Boyd and grandfather was
James Boyd who had business in Boston of manufacture of harness AND a
new type of fire hose that helped to get water longer distances to fire. Well known in Boston circles. From leather hose it evolved into woven
fiber, to rubber hose, and fire-fighting foam.* Moved their business
from Boston to Philadelphia to West Chester and owned a prize winning
patent of 1821 signed by Presidents Monroe and J.Q. Adams.
married Charles Henry Hawes, 3 March 1906 in Washington, DC. (Son
Alexander Boyd Hawes was born 3 Dec 1906.) Brother James
married Elizabeth Longstreth a Quaker, Brother Alex Boyd died 26
August 1891 of typhoid fever, Brother Harry lost a leg in a railroad
track accident, no further info, and Allen Boyd married Jane Ritchie in
September 1895 in Frederick, Maryland.
