Nicholas Talley
1 Male age 15 to 20. ~ If age 15, the lowest age in this category, then born
before my Jane Elizabeth married in 1817/18 ~ very unlikely in this family.
1 Male 40 to 50
1 Female under 5
1 Female 10 to 15
1 Female 20 to 30 ~ Jane Elizabeth would have been 32 or 33 depending

believe I also saw b: Alabama, and North Carolina.
Jane Elizabeth named her children after the NICHOLSONs and CLAMPETs
1. Mary Anne TALLY for her sister, Mary Anne CLAMPITT who married Absolom
BEESON
2. Uriah Pinkney TALLY ~ another CLAMPETT name, with Pinkney also a NICHOLSON
name
3. James Masten TALLEY, SR ~ probably after James NICHOLSON whose wife was
the ALLISON below.
4. Diana Malinda TALLY after another sister
5. Allison Alexander TALLY most likely after the spouse of James NICHOLSON ~
Allison married Alice 'Allie' BEESON, a granddaughter of Mary Anne CLAMPITT
mentioned under child 1. above, sister of Jane Elizabeth CLAMPITT. Two siblings
of Jane Elizabeth's married NICHOLSONs. Mathias and John.
6. Richard L. TALLY after Jane Elizabeth's father, Richard CLAMPITT.
My name uis Roxana Klopf Strickland. My paternal grandmothers maiden name was Clampit (Clampet). I'm not sure what you mean by what line I am representing. I guess Texas/Tenn. Thank you for your help

THE FIRST CLAMPITT TO THESE SHORES ???
Along the Delaware River and among the first settlers of ye plantations of
Piscataway and Woodsridge in Olde East Jersey appeared one William CLAMPITT
before 1700. Also, there was a settlement, or township, named "Clampitt" around
Salem County of New Jersey, as evidenced by the document below, and which to my
knowledge, at this point in time, archeologists have never located.
New Jersey Documents: 07 JUL 1693 ~ Document ~ Hypolitus LeFEVOR of
Hollibourne, Salem County, New Jersey, gentleman, and wife Mary, to Roger CARARY of
Clampitt, said County, yeoman, for 400 acres on the Southside of and along
Manneton Creek, along a branch of Myhoppinyes Creek, adjoining grantee, Jonathan
BEERE and William RUMSEY.
Annie in Oklahoma
GG-granddaughter of Catherine CLAMPET who married 28 SEP 1835 to Hardy Holman
SANDERS. Daughter of Masten Mathias CLAMPETT and Rebecca NICHOLSON,
originally from Stokes/Forsyth County, North Carolina
I am the new list administrator of the CLAMPITT-L and CLAMPITT-D mailing
lists. I would really like to get the list active.
I broke through my Tally brick wall and found him married to a Clampitt.
This has been a very productive few months in genealogy for me.
I hope this reaches someone who is willing to participate the mailing list.
