Over the last 15 yrs of searching I have found the names in the subject line all the same depending on who was filling out the paperwork for marriages, births and deaths. My family line is James Thomas Clare and Clair Sr. in the United States. The family came into the US in 1852. The more my brother and I research we believe that James had two brothers. Pierce and Patrick who stayed in Chemung County, New York while my James Thomas left NY and moved to Iowa and later the Chicago and Ottawa, Illinois area. Pierce was born about 1815, James about 1818 and Patrick about 1825. It is believed that their father was William by me and James by my brother. I have more info but it would take forever to put it here. Check my site at myirishfamily2.weebly.com Pierce and Patrick at listed as possible connections.
