Hi Sherry, Cousin Vicki here (your uncle Jim's daughter) I am doing genealogy also. Have hit the same wall. Not doing much better on the Lydia Francis Smith line. Any clues there?

As you can see I'm not certain of the spelling. My great grandmother was Clara (Rosa?) Cler nee Gibson. I have always been told that they came here from Alcace Lorainne (sp) area of France/Germany. I believe my GGrandfather's first name was John but not certain. They had two daughters, Earlyne Cler, Butcher, Miller and Eunice Cler, Gagle. My understanding is that they were born in Missouri but may have been Indiana. The Gibson side of the family decends from the Gibson's who owned the card company. I would appreciate any information any one may have as I have run into a blockade. Thank you, Sheryl Butcher
