Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Thanks for the message. I'm related to the Claiborne line from my mothers side. From what we have learned from someone else in the Claiborne line, Cora wasn't the indian but rather Mary Jane Nichols (various spellings of the last name) who was married to William Henry Harrison Claiborne. This would have been John Frank Claiborne's parents.

Marvin is the son of Clinton Flournoy Claiborne (1882-1953) and his first wife, Cora Griffith (1883-1907)
Clinton Claiborne is buried in Claiborne Cemetery in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas
Cora is buried in Alum Creek Cemetery, Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas
Marvin's wife is Julia Mae Biggs. She died in 27 October 2007

John and Cora are my great grandparents, my father grew up on the farm in Denton County Texas, I was told that Cora was Indian from the border of Oklahoma and Texas. I do know they both are buried in the Old Shiloh Cementary in texas I was also told her name is Casstleberry. If you find anything out let me know I guess we may be cousins.
