Looking for information on my grandfather, Ferdinand White. He is listed in
1880 census living in Adams County, MS with J. F. H. Claiborne along with
his brother Fred and sister Alice White, it is believed Claiborne was their
father.
Ferdinand married Hannah Anna Bona Walker in 1891, Adams County, MS and
lived in Beat 1. The family moved to New Orleans around 1900.

Can you help me? Hello I am looking for relatives of my grandfather, Anthony Claiborne, born in Adams County, Mississippi in 1878. He married Mollie Thompson (born about 1883) in 1904 and had 4 children: Maggie, Tom, Anthony Jr. and James.
According to the 1910 census, he and his family was listed in Adams County. I am familar with Maggie (aunt) and Tom (my father) but I do not have any information on Anthony Jr. or James.
After the 1910 census, I was not able to track him until his death in Washington Parish, Louisanna on Feb 22, 1937. At that time he was married to Dora Coleman on Mar 28, 1917.
I have not been able to find any other information about him. I really would like to know if anyone has any information about this couple (did they have any children? did Dora have any siblings? Did Mollie have any siblings?) These are questions that I cannot answer at this time.
My guess would be that Anthony and his family were originally from Louisanna.
I found a Mollie Claiborne in Louisanna who died in the Caddo Parish in Louisanna on 9/20/1933 at the Old Folks home there in Caddo.
Although her husband was listed as Allen Claiborne, it was just strange that James Claiborne was list as the next of kin because Allen Claiborne had already died.
If you think that you are related to Dora or Mollie, please email me @ dclayborn(a)comcast.net.

My gggrandfather was George Ravenscroft Claiborne (may have been Jr.), born about 1813 Hickman County, TN. Married Ellizabeth Phillips, passed away about 1898 Limestone Valley in southern Newton County, AR.
I think he had brothers, Devereux Jarrett, John Clayton, Alexander H.R. and others. I think my George R had one or two brothers who also lived in Arkansas (possibly Independence and Washington counties). Are we talking about the same family ?
