Looking for information on my grandfather Ferdinand White. Ferdinand, and
his siblings Fred and Alice lived and worked for JFH Claiborne, they were his
offspring by a black woman. If anyone has a connection please let me know.

Judy:
First thank you for the many Claiborne records you have posted on this site
and others.
Second, I noticed that there was a James Clayborne in Hancock Co Ga in 1820.
Could he be related to your John Claiborne? Also noticed that John's
children's names include one named Dandridge. Do you know if that name was connected
at all to the Phillip Whitehead Claiborne who married an Elizabeth Dandridge?
Third, father of your John Claiborne was Richard (will of 1776?) and Mary
Hamlin. Can you tell me if Richard's son Leonard was by an earlier wife, perhaps
an Elizabeth Dudley? Also do you know who was the father of Richard?
Thank you.
