Hi all,
I'm forwarding this query on to the CLAIBORNE list in hopes someone may be
able to help this lady make a connection between the CLAIBORNE and Winston
families in early Virginia. If so, please contact her directly at <SRbrow(a)aol.com>
.
Thanks,
LaRae

Am trying to find help in finding someone who might know about the Claiborne
family with the Winston family. I am helping a cousin and this is no kin to
me. His great great grandfather was Claiborne Winston who was b. 1821 in
Hanover co, Va. His wife was Elizabeth Evans. The name Claiborne was
carried down
in the Winston family for several generations until today and heard of the
connection. If anyone on your list knows anything about this particular
family I
would appreciate hearing from them and deeply appreciate any responses. I
wrote previously and got no response.
I was told by my aunt that a Winston man married a Claiborne female but don't
know where it comes in. Am sure it was most likely early 1800s or in 1700s in
Va.
