Dear Claiborne's:
I am a freelance documentary filmmaker, & I'll be in Tipton County & Fayette County, Tennessee from Saturday, June 29th through Thursday, July 4th shooting footage for my first documentary based on the history of the area, incorporating interviews, archival photographs, and genealogy research I’ve done on my own family (this includes Clayborn, Claybon, CLAIBORNE, & Baskerville/Baskervill among other surnames).
If any of you happen to be available during that time, it would be great to speak with you. I am mainly looking for people whose ancestors are Clayborn's, Claiborne's, or Claybons from Tennessee; however, I'll consider anyone w/ Clayborn/CLAIBORNE/Claybon ancestry who's willing to share some of their research, ancestry, and/or photos on camera or via audio tape for credit and experience.
This project is obviously low budget but it should be a lot of fun, too. If you are interested, or know someone who might be interested, please e-mail me at slimrachie(a)hotmail.com.
I appreciate your time and would like to thank you in advance for any help you can give me. Happy Hunting to us all!
Sincerely,
Rachel Hurt

Hello Leonard, The only William B I find in Smith's Claiborne genealogy
is the son of Thomas (md. Scott), son of Augustine, son of Thomas(3 and 2)
and William. This William B. was born 1796 and lived in New Kent Co, Va.
With names like Burnell and Leonard, it certainly sounds like you belong
to my wifes line. Burnell, son of Leonard was born abt 1738. His children
were Thomas B. Martha and Sally. Thomas B had no William. I'm sorry, but
I can't find your William Burnell Claiborne, but he must be tied in there
somewhere. When was he born?
Dick Oril
