QUESTIONS:
1. Since Elizabeth F. (Featherstone) Cook is d/o John Cook & Elizabeth
Walthall (2nd marriages for both of them), what were the death dates for her
parents, or were they (one or both) still living?
2. Who is Elizabeth (x) Claiborne? Is she the d/o Richard Henry Claiborne &
Mary Cook (who is most likely a 1/2 sibling from John Cook's 1st marriage)?
3. Who is Elizabeth E. Medley? Is she a d/o Isaac Medley and "Nancy" Cook
(m. 1803 in Halifax Co.) or is she "Nancy" Cook (also a 1/2 sibling from
John Cook's 1st marriage)?
4. Who is Polly Thompson Marshall? The Marshall family intermarried with
Elizabeth Walthall's children from her 1st marriage to Peter Cousins.
FYI: I have these following folks identified in my files as:
1. Patsey Cook ... is 1/2 sibling from John Cook's 1st marriage
2. Jarrett W. Cook ... is a brother from John Cook's 2nd marriage to
Elizabeth Walthall-Cousins
3. Nancy (Cook) Yancey ... is a sister from John Cook's marriage to E.
Walthall; m. to Layton Yancey
4. "Nancy" Cook ... is a 1/2 sibling from John Cook's 1st marriage; m. Isaac
Medley
5. Alexander Moore ... is possibly a brother-in-law married to Sarah R. Cook
... but the dates are off, so this may be Alexander Moore, Sr., Sarah's
father-in-law-to-be.
Any assistance/correction appreciated. Thanks. Sorry for any duplicate
posts.
Be well & God bless,

Dick, Are any of the Arkansas Claibornes from Van Buren, Cleburne Co. Ark.?
My line is Job>Ephriam>Latitia Claborne. Tn. to Mo.,Ark, Tx and Illinois.
Thanks Evelyn
Hello Evelyn, I'm sorry. I find no Job or Ephraim in my copy of Smith's
Claiborne genealogy nor in the info on our Arkansas Claibornes, who were
primarily in Izard Co, The only Letitia I find was Letitia White Clark
who married a Smith and they were from Pa. One branch of George R.'s
family went to Bastrop, Texas in 1837. He was Phillip R.K. Claiborne. You
might ask Patti Lemee, an expert on Phillip R.K. Email plemee(a)aol.com.

Thank you for your prompt response. No, I am not related to the
Claiborne-Dugger clan that I am aware of.
Again thank you.

I WILL GET AHOLD OF SOME OF MY COUSINS AND SEE IF ANY OF THE FAMILY KNOWS ANYMORE INFO OTHER THAN THIS THAT YOU HAVE. IF YOU DON'T MIND MY ASKING ARE YOU RELATED TO THE CLAIBORBE DUGGER CLAN? I WILL TRY TO FIND OUT IT MAY TAKE A LITTLE WHILE.
BRENDA
Hello Ms. Hicks,
Your letter is of interest to me. My grandfather, Ferdinand White was
supposed to be a descendant of the Claiborne family. He married 1891 in
Natchez. The family moved to New Orleans around 1902.
Thank-you

Thank you, Brenda. I have all this but I have no proof of Jacob. No deeds, no wills, no nothing. I still live in the Greeneville area and have visited the courthouse (not a burned county) and have no written proof. There was one other Dugger male of the right age in the area, David. There are documents of a bastardy case against hm, but nothing else, either. I also have a hunch, because no one knows her maiden name, that old Alexander's Ann was a Claiborne. I am in a Dugger research group and we have nothing in writing. Only supposition on who Alxander's parents were.
Here are the children of Claiborne Dugger and Jean Gass:
Jacob Dugger born 1806/07 in Green Co. Tn
Joseph Dugger born 1809/10 in Green Co Tn. Died 1850/60 in Dallas Co. Mo
William Dugger, born 1810/11 in Greene Co. Tn
John Dugger my 2 greatgrandfather born 1814/15 in Greene Co,. Tn
Margaret Dugger no information
let me know if i can be of any more help
brenda
Yes, these ar the same people. I know about Alexander and Ann. I just need proof of Claiborne's line. Your line is well documented, mine less so. I need documentation that Claiborne and Jean are the parents of Jaocb (Jakie). My relatives say so, but I have no proof.
