Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Tom,
I sympathize with you. My family first heard from Brice Clagget in the
1970s. We'll do whatever we can to reach out to his family. Perhaps they
will just turn over all of his accumulated research to a local historical
society or even to an interested group of Clagget descendants.

I'm 73 years old so I don't know if it will make it in time for me.
We've been waiting with baited breath for this book for at least ten years.

Here is a response from Neil Thompson, who had previously been uner the
impression that he would be conducting a final review of Brice Clagget's
work before it was published. The news is not good.
If you are interested in working collaboratively to formulate a strategy to
reach out to Brice's widow and family, please reply to me directly at the
email address below with a phone number and your time zone. If you have any
relationship with Brice's family or contacts with family members, please let
us know. I'll convene a conference phone call to discuss options and a
strategy.

Unfortunately, I have had no word about the publication of Brice's work. I
can only hope that his many years of hard and valuable work, not to speak of
the contributions of those who assisted him, will not now be forgotten. One
problem is that the book is devoted to the ancestry of his children by his
first wife, while his second wife likely controls what is done at this
stage. This may mean that the whole project ends up unpublished. Best
holiday wishes, Neil D. Thompson

Hi Nancy,
A noted geneaologist, Neil Thompson, was supposedly engaged in this task.
I've emailed him and am awaiting his reply. I'll post it to the Clagget list
when I get an answer and cc: you.
