Subject: [CLAFFEY] Claffey research
This message is for Kevin P. Claffey. If that's not who receives it, please
let me know.
Hi Kevin,
It's been a long time! I was surprised when Mary found the Claffey Home
Page on-line and especially that it was 6 years old. I've been doing
various searches that included Claffey but never came across it.
How are you and the rest of the family? Since Mom died we don't get
information on your part of the family. I am now living back in Connecticut
after years in Washington DC and California. It's tough getting used to the
snow again. Here it is the first day of winter and our second storm of the
week! I'm hoping to be able to get out this afternoon but we'll see.
I loved your site and it filled in several blanks to my own collection. I
may be able to give you some info too. Have you done any research on your
grandmother Hugron's side of the family? Despite having lived with her for
so many years she remains something of an enigma. I haven't been able to
track back beyond her parents but I occasionally find out new and
interesting things about her. The latest was a marriage certificate for her
and Clarence Claffey from NY dated about a month prior to the one I already
had for their wedding in Waterbury.
Anyway, I just wanted to drop a line and try to catch up a bit and maybe,
share some information.
Have a happy holiday and a great 2009.
Your ½ first cousin,
Pat Welch
welchp(a)attglobal.net or p_welch(a)yahoo.com - the first one will probably be
going away in a month or so.
