Friends,
Good morning from Southwestern Pa.
Have added another section to Claffey Home Page. This one is Obituaries. Ann
and I have both have dozens more to add. I am sure each of the 30 of you
(Yes, there are 30 listers now) have obits that you might want to submit.
Please remember that an obit is the best way to present a capsule of one's
life in a small amount of space with the least amount of time. And most
times, proves one's identity with a reliable source. If each of you sent
one, think of the information we can present to the world. Am sure that as
researchers, each of you have saved several.
Thanks in advance. (List Mis) Carol M
Friends,
New Pages added to Claffey Home Page.
Ann has added more state Information. She has done research of Claffeys in
five states so far Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and
Wisconsin. She says she has Claffey information for al 50 states and will
be submitting a new state each week. Great going Ann ! ! !
Our newest contributor is Suzanne Grimes from Pennsylvania. I believe we
will eventually be able to connect Suzanne's ancestors to mine as their are
many common threads. No absolute proof as yet but think that Suzanne
descends from John Claffey born 1800 Longford County Ireland.
Many of you know that this John was son of my James and Jane Claffey (buried
in Donegal Cemetery near my home) who came to USA in 1817 and brother of my
great, great grandfather Thomas Claffey whose biography is also on CHP.
Will keep you all posted.
Hope every one is well and enjoying what little snow and wintry weather we
have been having. SPRING WILL SOON BE HERE. :-) or :-( depending on your
point of view.
