Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Listers,
Am forwarding info received today as a result of a Personal Mail List

Hope this helps someone. Carol Mounts

Hello Claffey Friends,
Have added a "Search My Site" feature to
'Claffey Home Page' at
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~camounts/indexc.html
I tried it out by asking for Bridget. Search results show 8 references to
Bridget.
This should be a big asset in finding folks on our page to visitors and
relatives alike.
Have a good day.
List Mistress, Carol Mounts
Am forwarding this from another list. I found a Great map of Washington Pa
in 1897. Just type in "Washington Pa" in search field. You can zoom in on
buildings, streets and legend at bottom of map. A GREAT FUN and research
tool. Carol Mounts

Hello Friends.
Thought you might like this news from NASA. It has also been on weather
news.
Carol Mounts
Thursday April 6, 2000
Sky Show for Dessert, Thursday, April 6, three planets and the thin
crescent Moon are going to put on a memorable sky show--visible to
the naked eye-- when the quartet converge inside a circle just nine
degrees across.
To admire the display, simply go outside after dinner on Thursday
and look
toward the southwest sky. At about 8:00 p.m., local time, the
slender
Crescent Moon--and the ghostly outline of the full Moon, a dim glow
that
astronomers call Earthshine--will be easy to spot about 30 degrees
above the horizon.
