Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Dear Fellow listers, NASA has educational web pages for children.
To be a part of HISTORY, you can (for free) enter your name on a list to be
sent to Mars
in April 2001. To read more about it see

The Mars Surveyor 2001 Lander is scheduled for launch on April 10, 2001. It
will land on
Mars on Jan. 22, 2002, if launched on schedule.
The 2001 Lander will carry an imager to take pictures of the
surrounding terrain during its rocket-assisted descent to the surface.
The descent imaging camera will provide images of the landing site
for geologic
analyses, and will aid planning for initial operations and traverses
by the rover.

Good morning Claffey Cousins, Rootsweb has still not had the space to
'ANNOUNCE'
Claffey Home Page at
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~camounts/indexc.html hopefully
next week
However , in this weeks newsletter, did find an very nice new feature called
POST-EMS that they have added to their Social Security Death Index. It
allows you to post information about your deceased loved one or retrieve
info others have posted. A full description follows. In the future this
should be another great source of information. Carol Mounts
POST-EMs. Now you can attach a message to any of the more than
61 million records in the Social Security Death Index (SSDI) at
RootsWeb by using a "post-em," developed by RootsWeb's own Randy
Winch. Some suggested uses: attach notes to the records of your
relatives, providing researchers with a direct link to you; add
background information on an individual in the database, such
as pointers to other records relating to that individual; or
add a correction to an incorrect record. Check the records of
individuals of interest to you often. Someone recently might
have left a note there for you. To add a note to a record, do
a search and click on "Post-em" at the end of a record at:
Fellow listers, Found another good source of information. I thought I knew
