I am trying to find out who the 2 female children are that are in John C. Clack's house hold in 1840. I believe that one of them is Jane and the other Belinda Elizabeth.
John C. Clack married Susan Chapman 01/02/1836. This would make the children to old to be hers.
Also there are some other Clack in the area any help with them would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that the Bolling Family Association in one of their newsletters
last year said they have found a connection to Robert Bolling that married Jane
Rolfe and some of the Clack family but it is possibly through Robert and his
second wife. So you might check with them on that.

I recently read on rootsweb that someone has traced this line back to the early 1500s in England, with names such as Gostwick, Wenworth, Spencer, Bulstrode and others. I think that this may be from the book "Kinfolks" by William Curry Harllee, but Im not entirely sure. Im dubious about this information because I haven't come across it again, plus I believe he is the one who linked us to Pocahontas descendency, which is pure heresay. (although it would be neat!).
So, before I start making copies of my tree for all my close relatives has anyone confirmed this or know where this information came from? Thanks!!
