P.S. to my other posting - Specific areas of Stroud include Woodchester, Chalford and especially Minchinhampton. Though much of the family stayed in Gloucester, my g-grandfather moved with his wife and children to Ramsgate, Kent in the early 1900s. His son, my grandfather (also Thomas Henry Clack) came to Canada where he met my grandmother. They later settled in the USA where my Dad was born. I was born (Diana Clack) in Connecticut.
