I have a Margaret Ellen Davey in my family tree but she was born in 1884 in Shoreditch. Margaret also had a daughter Heather out of wedlock in 1921. Margaret did marry later on and came to New Zealand and ran a boarding house or something like that with the new husband. If this fits in with your information please let me know.
Many thanks
kerry
The will of George Clack, written in 1773 and probated in 1775
in Brunswick County, Virginia, mentions his daughter, Mary Bass.
Her husband was Thomas Bass. I am wondering how old Mary was
in 1773. I suspect she was a second wife and not the mother of
Thomas's children.
Other people mentioned in the will are:
wife: Prudence
sons: George, Elisha, Randle
daughters: Prudence Courtney, Mary Bass, Patience Wyche, Tempy
Stokes
negroes: Jack, Smith, Becer, Tom, Friday, Cloe, Juno, Peter,
Daniel, Voluntine, Austin, Will, Abby, Cull
witnesses: John Clack, Henry Robinson, James Clack, Mary
Robinson, Patty Clack
securities: Thos Bass, Thos Gholson, John Williams, Lewis
Scarborough
Thanks for any help anyone can give.
Heather
