Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
To all the list members, MERRY CHRISTMAS. May you be blessed this
Christmas day as we celebrate the birth of our savior.
It is now Christmas day around the world (actually in a small slice of
the Western Pacific it has already come and gone, by the time some of
you read this even more will be into the post-Christmas time. All
around the world thousands of people are experimenting with their first
computer, their first internet access, their first genealogy software,
or some combination of the above. They are learning. They will soon
discover Rootsweb/Ancestry.com and begin signing up for mailing lists
and posting to message boards. Some will make mistakes, get off topic,
post to the wrong place, etc. Be kind. Remember before we learned to
use the tools we didn't know how either. If they ask silly questions,
bear with them, help if you can. If it pertains to list operation, be
assured that I will respond to correct or help them. 99% of my
responses to this type of situation will be OFF LIST, so you will not
see me intervening, but I will be doing so. Be patient, the newbies
will get up to speed and the internet genealogy community will be all
the better for thier contributions. One of them just might know where
the crack in your brick wall is to be found.
Happy hunting,
Joe Harrington

I'm descended from Mary "Polly" Clack who married Lovick Betts. Their son
William Parks Betts was my ggf. I'll be glad to share my Betts and/or Clack
data.

Hello.... My grandfather was Clematis Hughes Clack and his father was Green Henry Clack.... My Great- grandfather had 7 brothers and one sister...I cant immediately recall their names but I have a picture of all of them together.... If anyone wants it E-Mail me and Ill send it
I know absolutely nothing detailed about the family (to my regret) but I know from conversations with my Grandfather that he had at least one brother in Georgia and that there is a Clack Cemetary in or around Winder, Ga.
Does he have anything on a Martin Clack in Tennessee arount the early
1800's.

Hello, I am trying to find details of my g.grandfather Charles Clack's birth in Brixton/Lambeth area, born 1830-35. This is next to Camberwell, and I wonder if your William Henry could be a sibling or cousin. Do you have any more details. I would be very interested to near. Thanks. Jean.
