Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Thanks very much for posting the info. I have his Revolutionary War records from the National Archives. I've been trying to find out where Martin was prior to Washington co MD and if he is connected to the Samuel Clabaugh there. I believe it is likely they might be brothers.

Pam, I found your Martin Clabaugh [Claubaugh] in Maryland and Delaware Revolutionary Patriots, 1775-1783, Frederick County, Maryland p. 71: "Clabaugh [Claubaugh] Martin, Soldier in the Pennsylvania Line who married Margaret (no last name given) about 1772 in Hagerstown, Maryland, and enlisted there at the time of the Revolution. He applied for a pension on April 14, 1818 in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. In 1820, he was aged 77 with a wife Margaret, aged 69. He died July 15, 1822. Hiw widow applied for a pension (W3222) on March 25, 1840, in Huntingdon County, aged about 88, stating they had moved from Maryland in 1801 or 1802. The soldier's daughter, Catharine Clabaugh, aged 54, applied July 23, 1850, in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania for herself and the other children of the deceased widow, to wit: Martin Claubaugh, Margaret Summers, Jacob Claaubaugh, Elizabeth Nightime, Catharine Claubaugh and abraham Claubaugh. Widow died on March 8, 1848." [Ref: T-665]
