Nancy, my name is Tracy and I'm doing these surches for my fiance, Edward J. Claassen. His father, James William Claassen, was the son of William Claassen the rancher. Edwards dad, Jim , owned and ran Paso Robles Mercantile up until a wicked step-grandson came in and bullied, lied and stole the store and the huge ranch which was supposed to go to Jim, Edward, and Edwards brother Steve. This is why I'm working on this search. The step grandson to Arthur M. & Nellie Claassen was not to inherit anything and was not even allowed on the property, then one day Art was gone and the step grandson moved on to the property, kicking his own mother and sister off the property and there he sits, because all the Claassen men are too passive to fight him, but I'm not. It's the principle of it all. Art hated him and banned him from the property. Anyway, another reason I'm doing the search is beacause both of Edward's parents are gone and most all the family. They believe they are the last 2!
or 3 Claassen men alive, so I'm trying to gather as much info for them as I can. You mentioned they considered themselves to be German? Thats interesting, I don't know if the guys knew that. Hope this helps in your search. Talk to ya later, Tracy
