Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Lawrence E. Claar, age 64, of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly during surgery on Thursday, September 16, 2010.
Larry was born in Columbus on January 3, 1946; he was the son of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Jerry Claar.
Larry was also preceded in death by his wife Helen. He is survived by his two sons, Chris (Kristy) Claar and Shawn (Cathy) Claar and their mother, Sharon; step-children, Nicole Anderson and James "Curt" Gannon; 13 grand-children; two great grandchildren; sister, Bev; brother, Robert; and beloved pets, Mo, Sissy and Sylvester. Larry retired from ODOT as a highway worker/supervisor after many years of dedicated work.
He was a member of Eagles #2252 and enjoyed his many collections of coins, stamps and other treasures.
Larry was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, recently enjoying his new Dodge Challenger.
A gathering in memory of Larry will take place on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER CLEVELAND AVENUE CHAPEL, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43224. Private inurnment will take place at Blendon Central Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association , 5455 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214.
