While working in the library yesterday, I found a book entitled "Index to the
1820 NC Census", compiled by Dorothy Williams Potter. Listed below are some
of the Civils/Sivils, etc. I found:
Name County Page No.
Mary Sevills Camden Co. p. 16
John Sevils Onslow Co. p. 20
Priscilla Sivels Tyrrell Co. p. 16
William Sivils Craven Co. p. 2
Robert Sivls Montgomery Co. p. 1830
William Sivls Montgomery Co. p. 1830
I have just finished up a big project on another line of my husband's family,
the Bartletts, for a book that is being published in our county, so I hope to
be able to get back to work on my Civils family. I will share any
information I find in hopes that it might help someone. The only
Civils/Sivils I have so far in my file is my greatgreatgrandmother, Martha
Sivils.
