Would like information on James Savells, b. about 1748 in Norfolk Co., VA. Was his father Solomon Savells and his mother Sarah Nicholls? James Savells married Elizabeth Hodges, daughter of Lemuel Hodges and Ruth Suggs. Any information about the above families would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sue
Hello Civils List:
Since we just gained a new subscriber, I would like each of you to post what
you know about your Civils line. I will do so also. Maybe together we can
add some new information to our files.
My one and only Civils/Sivils name is my greatgreatgrandmother, Martha
Sivils, who was born about 1825 in NC, died about 1900 in McMinn Co., TN. My
grandmother, Lily Bell Brown, said Martha was a Quaker, but I haven't proved
this yet. Martha married Hudson Brown, born abt 1810 in NC, died about 1880
in McMinn Co., TN. They had a family of 5 children: William, Joel, Jesse,
John and Sarah Ann.
